Beta Film's Berlin ER (8x1h) has skyrocketed on Apple TV+ reaching #3 among the top TV series on the platform in Germany since its launch on Wednesday. Described by the Wallstreet Journal as "a riveting German series," the medical drama is co-created by former British emergency room doctor turned screenwriter Samuel Jefferson.

Berlin ER, which "develops a seductiveness that is hard to resist" (Spiegel), is set in Berlin's toughest hospital, where young doctor Zanna (Haley Louise Jones, Dear Child) takes over as head of the emergency room. But her reform measures meet with resistance from the overworked staff. The cast includes Slavko Popadić (Crooks, House of Promises), Şafak Şengül (Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W. Bush), and Peter Lohmeyer (The Net), among others. The eight-hour series is directed by Alex Schaad (Invention of Trust, Skin Deep) and Fabian Möhrke (Eichwald MdB).
