Munich/Rome 20.2.2025. Italy’s gritty crime drama Rocco Schiavone (48x1h) has celebrated a very strong return with its sixth season on Rai2. The first two episodes captivated almost two million viewers each in front of the TV with a phenomenal 10,5% market share on average in primetime.

One of Italy’s most beloved series, Rocco Schiavone is based on the bestselling novels by Antonio Manzini. For almost 50 episodes, the series follows the titular irascible Roman deputy police chief as he carries on his duties on his post in the provincial Aosta Valley. To try to escape his dark past, Rocco throws himself into his work and with his unerring flair investigates heinous crimes between his Alpine post and Italy’s capital.
