Beta Fiction Spain celebrates first GOYAs for 'UNDERCOVER'

UNDERCOVER (La Infiltrada) drew over 1,350,000 viewers to Spanish cinemas, making it the second highest-grossing Spanish film in 2024, and earned 13 Goya Award nominations.
Based on a true story, UNDERCOVER depicts the story of a young woman, who, only in her early 20’s, managed to infiltrate the terrorist group ETA in 1998 and stayed for six years, becoming the only woman to live among the terrorist organization. Beta Fiction Spain produced the film together Bowfinger Internatioal Pictures and also handles Spanish distribution.
“We think sometimes that young spectators don’t want to know what happened in the past. That’s wrong,” said Mercedes Gamero as Variety reports.
Beta Fiction Spain is a subsidiary of Beta Group, headed by Mercedes Gamero and Pablo Nogueroles. It was established in 2022 as a theatrical distribution company and producer of films and television series.
