Berlin/Munich, 13 December 2024. The European Film Promotion (EFP) has announced their selection for the European Shooting Stars 2025, including two stars from current productions tied to Beta Group. Selected for the roster and currently reigning atop the Netflix charts across the world is Devrim Lingnau, who portrays the legendary Empress Elizabeth in The Empress, produced by Sommerhaus Serien GmbH, which is part of Beta Group. She is joined by Karlis Arnolds Avots, who won Best Actor at this year’s Series Mania in the International Panorama Competition for his lead role in Soviet Jeans (8x1h, prod. by Tasse Film/ Go3/TV3/Depo, Beta Film handles world sales), which took home the Audience Award at the festival as well. The initiative will culminate with the European Shooting Stars Awards Ceremony on 17 February 2025 at the Berlinale Palast.
