Last night, the Ukrainian war drama IN HER CAR took home Best Non-English-Language Drama at the C21 International Drama Awards adding to its growing list of successes. Earlier this year, the drama series won the Special Commendation at Prix Europa and a Special Mention at the TV Series Festival Berlin. It was also nominated for Best Miniseries at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 and is currently nominated for Best Finished TV Series in the CEE at the NEM Awards 2024 and for Best Producer at the German Television Academy Awards 2025.

Praised by international media as "one of the most important productions of the year" (FAZ) and "a tribute to ordinary people" (The Guardian), IN HER CAR is a harrowing story that takes the viewer into the devastating heart of the ongoing crisis, told by those living through it. Shot in war-torn Ukraine, the series follows the journey of Lydia (How is Katia?  star Anastasia Karpenko) who embarks on a mission to bring people to safety following the Russian invasion in February 2022. The groundbreaking Ukrainian drama focuses on the emotional and social effects of war, blending personal stories with cinematic authenticity to underscore the resilience of the human spirit amid the chaos.

Showrunner and creator is Eugen Tunik, who also directs alongside Arkadii Nepytaliuk.
