Munich/Venice, 24 July 2024. Haluk Bilginer, the star of Beta’s Turkish hit-drama Persona (22x1h) has packed his bags for Venice. The International Emmy® award winning actor stars alongside Angelina Jolie in “Maria” about the famed opera diva Maria Callas (Angelina Jolie), which will premiere in competition at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.

A second season of the critically acclaimed crime drama Persona is in the works, as a well as a French adaption, Mémoire Vive (4x1h), led by internationally acclaimed actress Clémentine Célarié (Six Women, Betty Blue, Two Is a Family), who plays Esther Lefevre, the reinterpreted female protagonist.

Beta has sold Persona by producer successfully around Europe and overseas to the US, Canada, and Japan.
