Beta Film’s 'Atlantic Crossing' nominated for an International Emmy® Award
Beta Film’s limited series Atlantic Crossing (8 x one hour) has been nominated today for an International Emmy® Award in the TV Movie/Mini-Series category. Based on the true story of Norwegian Crown Princess Martha, who fights to save her country, Atlantic Crossing offers a unique and never-before-seen perspective on the tragic events of World War II, starring two-time Emmy® nominee Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) and Sofia Helin (The Bridge). The winners will be announced November 22, 2021 at the 49th International Emmy® Awards in New York City.
Atlantic Crossing has so far been sold by Beta Film to numerous countries, including the United States, where it recently aired on PBS MASTERPIECE to great acclaim as the first Scandinavian drama series in the public broadcaster's 50-year history. The series, produced by Cinenord in co-production with Beta Film for NRK, had its world premiere in the main competition at Canneseries in October 2020.
