C21: Sony finds Reasons to Live, High Flyers
Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has acquired dramas from Russia and the Netherlands for its Sony AXN and Sony channels in Germany.
SPE Germany has picked up Russian feel-good series 257 Reasons to Live and Dutch coming-of-age drama High Flyers from Germany distributor Beta Film.
In addition, Beta Film has sold 257 Reasons to Live to RTP in Portugal and All Media Baltics for Latvia. High-Flyers will be available on Rai for Italian audiences, as well as on Walter Presents for New Zealand and Australia.
257 Reasons to Live is already in its second season on Russia's free-to-air channel TNT and VoD-service Start.
Produced by Yellow, Black and White, Start and Super Production, 257 Reasons to Live revolves around the charming and unbreakable Zhenya, whose life falls apart after she beats cancer and everyone she leaned on turns out to be a massive jerk.
Action series High Flyers tells the story of three adolescents in training to fly with the Royal Netherlands Air Force. It was produced by Storytellers Film & TV for Dutch broadcaster NPO/EO.
Beta Film handles world sales for both titles.
